Mentor – Jharokha
Shakti Sharma
There are some people whose presence quietly shapes a dream long before it finds its name, and for Jharokha, Shakti Sharma is one of those rare guiding forces.
Her love for art, her instinct for creativity, and her deep understanding of people and purpose became one of the inspirations behind the very idea of Jharokha. More than a mentor, she has been a source of conviction — someone whose vision, sensitivity, and belief in meaningful work continue to guide the spirit of this journey.
With over three decades of experience across Corporate Communications, Corporate Sustainability, Education, and social development, Shakti brings an extraordinary depth of leadership and compassion. Over the course of her career, she has held significant positions such as Chief Social Services & Family Initiatives at Tata Steel, Chief Education & Corporate Sustainability at JUSCO, and Managing Trustee of JEM. Her work across education, tribal development, women’s health, livelihood, and community outreach reflects a lifelong commitment to building institutions that create lasting social impact.
What makes her association with Jharokha especially meaningful is the way she sees art — not only as beauty or expression, but as something deeply connected to identity, dignity, and empowerment. Her values, warmth, and belief in the transformative power of creativity continue to shape Jharokha in profound ways.
We are deeply grateful to have Shakti Sharma as a mentor, and to have her vision and encouragement as part of the journey that defines Jharokha.
